This is a seminar for students preparing for a bachelor or master thesis with the software engineering group. Students meet on a weekly basis to present and discuss their latest results. The seminar is a requirement to write a thesis at the software engineering chair. Weekly sessionsOur weekly meetings are on Fridays at 2:15pm in E 91 room 2.22. Please contact us if you are interested but cannot attend at this time. In order to obtain a Schein you need to successfully complete the following tasks:
To ensure that you are added to the mailing list, contact Ezekiel Soremekun or register in a seminar session. After getting the Schein, students need to register their thesis at the Prüfungsamt. You may also want to review the regulations of the Computer Science Department of Saarland University where they apply to the Bachelor (§17, page 13) and Master (§24, page 19) seminar and thesis. Presenting in the seminarOnce your proposal is accepted, you have to present your topic in the seminar. The purpose of this 20-minutes talk is to receive feedback from your fellow students and the PhD students. After your talk you can expect at least 10 minutes of questions. The talk will be graded and we recommend that you revise our advice on How to give a good talk.
