About me

I am a second year PhD student of computer science at Saarland University. I want to ease and automate testing and debugging by finding new ways to apply program analysis techniques. In my current work I am looking for new ways to apply dynamic taint analysis and other techniques in order to give programmers a better understanding of how inputs are processed.

Research

I am interested in various applications of taint analysis. My focus lies on character level taint tracking that allows to map program values to positions in input sources from which they have been read.

I am also interested in test generation that makes use of information that is usually ignored by most test generation tools like XML schema definitions and leverage this knowledge to generate better tests.

Teaching

  • 2013: Taught a seminar on Software Testing for undergraduate students.
  • 2012: Drafted and organized the Software Design Lab of the faculty as teaching assistant for approximately 150 students.
  • 2007-2010: Tutoring introductory lectures on programming and theoretical com- puter science and lectures Automated Testing & Debugging and Introduction to Computational Logic; gave tutorials and office hours, marked tests, projects and exams.
