Debugging
Automated Debugging research at the Software Engineering Chair of Saarland University is focused on providing highly usable debugging benchmarks, developing efficient fault-localization tools and designing effective regression debugging techniques.
Research
- Automated Debugging Benchmark: we provide a highly usable debugging benchmark called DBGBENCH derived from human generated fault locations, patches and explanations.
- Fault Localization: we provide a fault localization technique which is a marriage of both program slicing and statistical debugging called the Hybrid Approach.
- Delta Debugging: automates the scientific method of debugging, with numerous applications including regression debugging, isolating cause-effect chains and input minimization.
- Why Program's Fail: download the book on systematic and automatic debugging written by Prof. Dr. Andreas Zeller
