Who I Am
I am a PhD student working in the Software Engineering Group at Saarland University.I am also a passionate programmer. As such I realized long ago that, in order to become a good programmer, one also needs to be a good Software Engineer. I also realized that what currently (and ever from the beginning) bugs software most are bugs. And for these we (as Software Engineers) still do not have a satisfactory solution. So I accepted the glorious challenge and set out for the quest to defeat this Hydra-like plague. As you may have guessed, my quest is not yet fully completed.

Research Statement
I just started my research and therefore I am not yet fully determined regarding the specifics of my focus. Generally I will do research on bugs.
I will start out with the AutoFix tool, basing on the work and findings of both Valentin and David.

Projects
Here is a list of projects I am involved in:- AutoFix: A project for automatic defect localization and generation of possible small fixes for Java programs, based on failing runs of a (generally working) test suite. This tool will be based on both Pachika and Javalanche.
