To get there, simply follow these directions:

From the University (Computer Science Buildings)

Driving time (bike or car): 4 minutes; Walking time: 15-20 minutes.

  1. Leave the Computer Science Buildings and turn left, leaving the campus on the Stuhlsatzenhausweg.
  2. At the intersection, turn right on Dudweiler Strasse. After approx. 500m, you will see the rain pond on your right.
  3. After approx 1000m, you enter Scheidt. After the zebra crossing, turn left into Eichendorffstrasse.
  4. On top of the hill, you will find a large white building on your right (number 13), facing the playground across the street. I live in the ground floor.
If you are walking, you can make a shortcut through the woods:
  1. Leave the Computer Science Buildings and turn left, leaving the campus on the Stuhlsatzenhausweg.
  2. After the parking garage, turn right into the woods and then left. You will emerge at the rain pond, where you turn right on Dudweiler Strasse. Continue with step 3, above.

From Scheidt (Saar) Railway Station

Walking time: 5-10 minutes.

  1. Within the pedestrian tunnel, turn left and emerge on Dudweiler Strasse.
  2. With the railway tracks on your right, follow Dudweiler Strasse under the overpass.
  3. After the overpass, turn right into Am Bartenberg.
  4. At the next intersection, turn left into Eichendorffstrasse.
  5. On top of the hill, see the second large white building on your left (number 13), facing the playground across the street. I live in the ground floor.

From Autobahn A6

Driving time: 5-10 minutes.

  1. On A6, take the exit St. Ingbert West / University.
  2. Follow the signs to Saarbrücken / University for approx. 5 km.
  3. Take the exit to Dudweiler / Scheidt.
  4. Turn right onto Dudweiler Strasse.
  5. After approx. 1200m, you enter Scheidt. After the zebra crossing, turn left into Eichendorffstrasse.
  6. On top of the hill, you will find a large white building on your right (number 13), facing the playground across the street. I live in the ground floor.
If you get lost, ask for Scheidt (spoken "Shy-t"), and then for Dudweiler ("DOOD-vile-ah") or vice versa; you'll end up on Dudweiler Strasse. Or call me (see above).
